Saif Ali Khan’s sister Saba Pataudi breaks silence after the stabbing incident: 'Duas and prayers always'

In a shocking turn of events, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times during a burglary attempt at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai. The incident has left his family, fans, and the film fraternity deeply shaken. Saif's wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, his children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, and his sister, Soha Ali Khan, were among those who visited him at the hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment. Saba Pataudi, visibly moved by the incident, took to Instagram to share an old photograph with Saif, expressing her pride and love for her brother. "I am in shock and reeling from this insane incident. But proud of you, Bhaijaan. Taking care of the family and standing tall would make Abba so proud. I am. Get well soon. Missing being there. Will see you soon. Duas and prayers always," she wrote. In another message, she added, "I love you."

According to Mumbai Police, his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their children, Taimur and Jeh, were present at home during the incident. The altercation occurred in the early hours of Thursday when an intruder entered their residence with the intent to rob. In the confrontation, Saif sustained six stab wounds, including two deep injuries, one dangerously close to his spine. He was rushed to the hospital at around 3:30 am.

Dr Niraj Uttamani, Chief Operating Officer at the hospital, provided details about Saif’s condition. According to him, the actor sustained six stab wounds, two of which were deep. One injury is located near the spine. However, he has undergone surgery and is currently stable.


Following the surgery, Saif’s team released a statement to update his fans and well-wishers. The statement reads: "Saif Ali Khan has come out of surgery and is out of danger. He is currently in recovery, and the doctors are monitoring his progress. All family members are safe, and the police are investigating the incident. We would like to thank Dr Niraj Uttamani, Dr Nitin Dange, Dr Leena Jain, and the team at Lilavati Hospital. Thank you to all his fans and well-wishers for their prayers and thoughts during this time.”

The news of the attack has triggered an outpouring of concern and prayers from Saif’s fans and colleagues. Many actors and politicians have taken to social media to wish him a speedy recovery and praise his resilience.
