Saif Ali Khan stabbing case: Shobhaa De says if THESE questions remain answered, then it seems ‘better than any movie script’

In January 2025, Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing incident shook the entire industry and his fans. It raised concerns around personal safety for the stars. Though Saif spoke about it in Kajol and Twinkle Khanna’s show, many still believe there are loopholes in the story. Recently, in an interview, columnist Shobhaa De also expressed that Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing incident remains “mysterious” to date. She even shared that if the mystery remains unsolved, then it would appear better than a cinematic script.

Shobhaa De says Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing case seems better than any movie script

While speaking to Vickey Lalwani, Shobhaa De expressed that if the question around the incidents remain unansered, then the whole situation would only appear like a movie script or better.




She asked, “Who was at home and who wasn't at home, and why were there no bloodstains in the corridors?” Raising more questions, she added, “Why did no one bother to take pictures, if there was an assault, an attack, a knife attack, half a knife which was in Saif Ali Khan's back. Who was in the auto rickshaw? Was it his little boy who took him to the hospital? (0:28) Was it someone else?”

The colouminst expressed that unless these questions are answered, the incident will remain in “the realm of speculation and gossip.”

“Till a police person actually comes up and says, I was there, and this is what I have witnessed, or I've chosen not to record.Because otherwise it seems like a story that is better than any movie script, and maybe it will remain that,” concluded Shobhaa De.

What Saif Ali Khan said about the stabbing incident

Speaking about the incident in detail, Saif Ali Khan, on Kajol and Twinkle Khanna’s celebrity talk show, mentioned that everyone in the house slept late, around 2 am. “Then, the maid came in, and she said, ‘Jeh baba ke kamre mein koi hai. Uske haath mein chaaku hai aur bol rahe hai usko paisa chahiye’ (There’s someone in Jeh’s room. He has a knife in his hand, and he says he wants money),” he narrated.

Hearing this, Saif didn’t think twice and barged into Jeh’s room. Saif and the intruder got into a fight, and the aftermath left the actor with multiple stabs.

“But I jumped, and we started this fight. He went mad. He had two knives and he started slashing all over me. I tried to remember my training and blocked a couple of them. But then I felt a thump in my back that was really hard. And then we started fighting and rolling, and then by then, everyone was out of their rooms,” he explained before adding, “Gita, our help, she helped me in this struggle and pushed the guy off me, and pretty much saved my life at that point, because he had cut me everywhere. Then we locked him in a room.”
