Saif calls Sonakshi Mishtidoi
During the shoot of their upcoming film 'Bullett Raja', lead pair Saif Ali Khan and Sonakshi Sinha discovered that they have a lot of common interests, including their love for Bengali sweets. Sonakshi plays a Bengali girl who’s an aspiring actress, while Saif plays a UP gangster who falls head over heels for her. Interestingly, producer-director Tigmanshu Dhulia specially wrote a scene where Saif flirts with Sonakshi using names of Bengali sweets like chamcham, sandesh, rosogulla and mishtidoi.

“The scene has Saif trying to know Sonakshi better. During the conversation, she reveals that she can cook all Bengali sweets and Saif, whose character has a sweet tooth, christens her ‘Mishtidoi’,” says a source, adding that later, the actor and other crew members even started addressing Sonakshi as Mishtidoi.
The nickname was also given because the actress charmed everyone on the sets. The source says, “Since Sonakshi is very sweet to talk to and extremely soft-spoken, Saif gave her a new name. Tigmanshu, who considers Sonakshi a classic Bengali beauty, joined in and soon everyone started calling her Mishtidoi.”
Bullett Raja, presented by Fox Star Studios and produced by Moving Pictures and BrandSmith Motion Pictures, releases November 29.
