Sabbir Khan: I was among the first people to know about Shilpa Shetty’s little angel

Filmmaker Sabbir Khan was on cloud nine when Shilpa Shetty Kundra decided to make her much-awaited comeback to films with a pivotal role in his next, Nikamma, which also features Abhimanyu Dassani and Shirley Sethia among others. The film went on floors last year and was completed in marathon schedules to ensure that it gets enough time on the edit.
With a small patch left to be shot, the film is gearing up for a mid-year release this year.Before that happens, Shilpa broke another big piece of news to the world at large. Her husband Raj Kundra and she welcomed their daughter Samisha Shetty Kundra on February 15, almost eight years after their first born, Viaan Raj Kundra.
When we reached out to filmmaker Sabbir Khan, who has helmed Nikamma, he beamed, “I was one of the first people to know about this wonderful news apart from the Kundras and the Shettys. I am in touch with Shilpa on a daily basis and I will visit her and the baby soon. Do I see her withdrawing from films at this stage? I hope not, but I also know that she is a hands-on mother and it will be impossible to tear her away from the little angel.”
