Russell Peters should die: Bollywood fans

Russell Peters should die: Bollywood fans
After making supposedly ‘derogatory’ remarks about Bollywood and its actors, standup comedian Russell Peters has been getting hate messages by Bollywood fans.
Things are not looking ‘toofunny’ for funnyman Russell Peters off late. The noted comedian’sunflattering remarks about Bollywood and its actors have not gone too well withthe Bollywood fraternity and fans of Hindi cinema. "I hateBollywood. The movies are all garbage, just terrible. It's my opinion, obviouslythere are billions who love them. I have never seen a Bollywood film in my life.I have refused to do them earlier and will do so in future” said Russellat a press conference during his Mumbai visit. Things didn’tstop there. As per few media reports, Russell allegedly cracked some jokes onAishwarya Rai Bachchan’s lack of acting skills and pregnancy too!According to sources, he however retracted his statements on Ash later. Whateverthe case, Russell is however nonchalant about the angst he seems to have evokedamongst Bollywood fans. Standing by his opinion, Peters tweeted,“There is no reason for me to like everything you like, My opinions arejust that MY opinions, There are plenty of things I love that you won't! Thefact that my words have upset some of so much only makes me Victorious!Hahah!” When criticized for forming an opinion on something heis clueless about, he tweeted, “I don't need to eat sh** in order to knowthat I don't like it....”
Russell’s alleged statements onAsh’s pregnancy have been condemned by political wings too.“Bollywood is a vast industry, which churns out more films than anyone else in the world and he (Russell) has no right to talk ugly or disgrace our industry or its actors. His comment on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is indeed in a bad taste, but I think his irrelevant comment should not deter or affect an actress of her caliber,” said Shalini Thackeray, MNS cine-worker's union president.A leader from Shiv Sena, on condition of anonymity said, “Who is this Russell Peters and why should we entertain him? I think he should be banned in the country if he doesn’t respect our traditions and films”.Meanwhile, Sundari Thakur, the President of Nari Samman Sanghathan, a Mumbai based NGO said, “He should mind his language and be in his limits, as she (Aishwarya) is a women first and actress later. I think he (Russell) has lost his values and respect for women, as apart from being an actress, Aishwarya has also represented India when she was crowned Miss World”.Wonder if Akshay Kumar will intervene and try tosimmer down the situation...err speedily!
