With three projects already released this year and a few more lined up to be out soon, this year couldn’t have been better for
Ruhi Singh in terms of work. A self-confessed workaholic says that she is “blessed that I started
shooting
soon after the lockdown, once shootings were allowed. All my stalled projects were completed and released this year. For me, in terms of work, it has been really good.”
The actress, who was in the capital to shoot a
music video
, says that she is finally getting to do the kind of work she has always wanted to do. About being in Delhi, Ruhi says, “Coming to Delhi is exciting at a different level, maybe because I have always loved this city. I have loved the vibe and its people. I am from Jaipur, so Delhi feels like home to me. I have not been going out apart from work, as we all still need to take precautions and step out only if necessary, but now that I have got a chance to be here, I would surely want to go out and see if I can try some food. Food in Delhi has been my weakness. I’d try and wrap my shoot on time to just go out and eat, but with all precautions. For me, that would be the best part of being in Delhi,” says Ruhi.
Ruhi says that she also utilised the time she got off work for her law studies. “Like everyone else, the last one year has been tough to cope with mentally, but I think it is work that kept me going. I am a workaholic and even when I was not shooting I worked on myself, did different things to keep myself busy. Also, I got time to study. I am pursuing my BBA LLB, I am in my second year now. Studying is a form of relief for me. My work is such that it keeps me on edge, but when I take out time to study, it relieves me from stress. It helps me focus on something different,” says Ruhi, adding that since she got into modelling and acting at an early age, she is now focussing on completing her education. “Apart from being an actor, I want to start my own business. I even encourage other women to have their own venture, no matter how big or small it is,” adds Ruhi.
