A local court today imposed a fine of Rs 500 jointly on filmstar Aamir Khan, director Ketan Mehta, producer Bobby Mehta and others for failing to appear for it in a five year old case. The order was passed by civil judge, junior division, Azad Singh while hearing a writ petition alleging wrong portrayal of freedom fighter
Mangal Pandey's image in the movie The Rising released in 2005, prosecution sources said.
Chairman, Film Censor Board and Director of Publications are also party in the case.
The court has fixed September 13 as the next date of hearing.
