'RRR', 'Radhe Shyam', 'The Batman': Films to watch in theatres in March

March is a month of hope with cinemas opening up in full capacity for the audience according to the new guidelines given by the government. The recent COVID-19 wave led to the shutting down of the theatres. Due to this, the makers had to postpone the release dates of their films. Now, Bollywood is back on track with several upcoming movies releasing this month. From Amitabh Bachchan’s sports drama 'Jhund' to SS Rajamouli’s 'RRR', check out the films that you can watch on the silver screens this month.

'Radhe-Shyam'

Prabhas and Pooja Hegde's much-waited film 'Radhe Shyam' is all set for a theatrical release on March 11, 2022. Sharing a new poster, Prabhas had announced the new release date and wrote, "11.03.22. I'll see you. RadheShyamOnMarch11." The film was earlier slated to release on January 14, but the date had to be pushed due to the COVID-19 restrictions.

'RRR'

Helmed by SS Rajamouli, 'RRR' will hit the big screen on March 25. The film was pushed many times due to COVID-19 restrictions. The much-awaited film stars Ram Charan, Jr NTR, and Alia Bhatt. Ajay Devgn will be seen in a cameo role. It will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.

'The Kashmir Files'

Vivek Agnihotri's 'The Kashmir Files' is based on the lives of Kashmiri Hindus and the Kashmir Insurgency in the early 1990s. The film stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Prakash Belawadi and Pallavi Joshi. It also stars Darshan Kumar, Bhasha Sumbli, Chinmay Mandlekar, Puneet Issar, Mrinal Kulkarni, Atul Srivastava, and Prithviraj Sarnaik. It will be out on March 11.

'Jhund'

Nagraj Manjule's 'Jhund' starring megastar Amitabh Bachchan hit the big screens today. The film, which is based on the life of sports teacher Vijay Barse marks the Bollywood debut of director Nagraj. The film also stars Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar of 'Sairat' fame in brief roles. Chhaya Kadam is playing Amitabh Bachchan's wife. The film was majorly shot in Nagpur, which is Barse's hometown.

'Bachchhan Paandey'

Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon's ‘Bachchhan Paandey’ is all set to release in cinemas on 18th March, 2022. The film also stars Arshad Warsi, Pankaj Tripathi, Sanjay Mishra, Abhimanyu Singh and Jacqueline Fernandez. Kriti is playing the role of an aspiring director who sets out on a quest to film a gripping gangster biopic with a real-life gangster, Bachchhan Paandey.

'The Batman'

Director Matt Reeves' upcoming superhero film 'The Batman' starring Robert Pattinson hit the cinema halls today. The film also stars Jeffrey Wright as Lieutenant James Gordon and Colin Farrell as The Penguin. The movie is expected to fly past the USD 150 million mark on its opening weekend, thus recovering its USD 100 million production and marketing cost.
