Actor Ronit Agrawal has started shooting for his latest film 'Keechad', a suspense-action thriller all through nights only. ‘Keechad’ is directed by Vaibhav More.
Ronit plays a pivotal character of a boy who hails from Rajasthan. Working in a corporate firm, he always follows a normal pattern, takes the road commonly traveled, and is happy about it. He is definitely not a risk-taker. He valued surety and believed that he has to continue traveling on the same path to someday achieve what he wanted.
A student from Anupam Kher’s acting school Actor Prepares, Ronit is dedicated to his craft. He relates a funny incident while shooting their night sequence for Keechad: "While shooting the action scenes, my fellow actors and I had to face regular interruptions from the residents from apartments around us. Many times even people on the streets would also join in and involve themselves in the fight sequence either to stop it or just be involved in it physically. They believed the shoot to be a real incident. It used to be so funny and comical. We would have a good laugh but every time this happened, we had to explain to them about our Gorilla shooting. It was nice to learn that no matter what, people are no longer just bystanders. They would intervene and want to resolve things in peace for the sake of others. I think this is India. This is us. We are all about emotions.”
Talking about the experience while shooting Ronit says, "I had a great experience with the Keechad team. The director Vaibhav More and the entire team was so clear about what they wanted. The movie had only night sequences, so we used to start shooting around 8 pm and end it by 8 am. Naturally, we used to be very drained out but the entire team was very excited to let it last. Inspite of extreme humidity and odd shooting timings, we all enjoyed it. Everyone was on their toes to make a better product."
He adds, "I remember the writers of the film Mahika Bheda and Vansh Mehta improvised certain dialogues on the set, and film score composer Vignesh Kapadia was on the set too discussing the music piece for the scene. They would cut and edit their material in their minds. With this level of involvement and dedication from the technical team, It also becomes easy for actors to visualize and improvise scenes. I think when all the energies are involved to make a better product, the product only turns better."
Apart from ‘Keechad’ Ronit has finished shooting for Mohan Azaad directed 'What A Kismat’ with stalwarts actors like Atul Kulkarni as a Narrator, Tiku Talsania and Bharat Dhabolkar besides Vaishnavi Patwardhan, and Mansi Sehgal. Also, his film ‘Pinjre Ki Titliyan’ directed by Ashish Nehra is getting appreciated in many film festivals.
Ronit has done feature films like 'What A Kismat’ and 'Pinjre Ki Titliyaan' along with short films 'In The Loop', 'Vaidya' and 'Two Answers'. His short films are streaming on OTT. He has done music videos like ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Nazar’.
