When Rohan Sippy was in Delhi for the promotion of his just-released “Dum Maaro Dum”, we met him at an early hour, when he was tucking into his breakfast.“You’re here early,” he said, inviting us to have a bite with him as well. And that’s when we got talking about the hotel he was staying in, in West Delhi. “This hotel is really far away,” he said, “Usually, it’s somewhere around CP.”
He sounded familiar with Delhi, so we asked him whether he moves about on his own here.
“I do know Delhi quite well,” he said. “But of late, it’s becoming difficult to recognise certain places and landmarks, as the cityscape is changing by the day. Every time I come here, kuch naya construct ho gaya hota hai,” he said. That’s true, Rohan. Nayi Dilli mein naya toh kuch hona chahiye na?
