After making a mark in Bengali films and delivering some well appreciated performances in Hindi films like Main Meri Patni Aur Woh, Rituparna Sengupta is now excited about her next Hindi film where she’s playing one of the most challenging roles of her career.
Says the actress, “I love the sheer strength of my character in the film which deals with the sensitive subject of marital rape. It’s far worthier than the senseless skin show that is so rampant these days.
I think by being part of this film I will be showcasing the plight of the many oppressed women in the country and I take immense pride in doing so.” Talk about sense and sensitivity!
