Ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra was the man behind the iconic Miami look for Priyanka Chopra in Dostana.
This time around he’s given her the ripped and knotted grunge look in Anjaana Anjaani that is already a rage with the youth in colleges across the city. Says Manish, “While putting together Priyanka’s look I came up with the idea of cutting and knotting her tee to look edgy.Priyanka’s character is of a girl living in New York and the film is set in the winters, hence the boots and colours like black, grey, purple and beige. Her shorts, I picked up from London and it looked very cool on her so we decided to stick to it.”
Whereas Mamta Anand had to style Ranbir Kapoor’s Wall Street guy look also keeping in mind the extreme weather conditions in New York. “I’ve given him a mature look which is an amalgamation of cardies, down jackets, cable knits and camel or plaid overcoats in bottle greens, browns and blacks. These colours dominate RK’s wardrobe all through the film. I’ve added a dose of uptown sass and to sum it up in one sentence I would say RK’s wardrobe oozes easily wearable luxe,” she says.
