Ajay Bahl for his balanced view, many feminist groups questioned the stance of the film. Richa Chadha was asked about her views on the film and what made her to sign such kind of a film
Talking to a media house, Richa shared that the script of the film had come to her three years back when the #MeToo movement hadn't hit Bollywood.
Hence according to her the script at that time had a different context. However the script went through certain changes after Ajay Behl came on board. Richa also revealed that signing this film was a moral dilemma for her and had once almost rejected the film but since she had faith in director Ajay Bahl's intention, she agreed upon doing the film.
Richa talking further about the film's intention. She clarified that the film's intention was never to run down anyone's feeling and the only point was to educate people about the law. She stressed on the fact that she has been a big supporter of the #MeToo movement and her empathy will always lies with the survivors.
