Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal’s ‘Girls Will Be Girls’ to be screened at Cannes after Sundance success

The highly anticipated directorial debut of Suchi Talati, ‘Girls Will Be Girls,’ produced by Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, is set to make its mark at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. The film will be showcased in the Cannes Écrans Juniors category, which highlights international feature films that appeal to young audiences aged thirteen and above, offering them a window into diverse themes, and cultures.

‘Girls Will Be Girls’ has already made significant waves on the festival circuit. Earlier this year, the film premiered at the SXSW Film Festival and won the Audience Award in the World Dramatic Entry category and the Special Jury Award for Lead Actress Preeti Panigrahi at the Sundance Film Festival. Now, the film is set for its Cannes debut, with screenings scheduled on May 22nd and 23rd at the Alexandre III theatre and on May 24th at the Raimu Hall.Richa Chadha expressed her excitement in a statement, saying, “We are thrilled to see 'Girls Will Be Girls' reach the Cannes Film Festival.
