Rhea Chakraborty mourns the loss of Dilip Kumar; calls him 'the greatest actor'

Veteran star Dilip Kumar passed away today in Mumbai. He was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of at a hospital in Khar, on June 29, after reportedly complaining of breathlessness. Now, Rhea Chakraborty took to her social media handle to remember the late actor.

She shared a rare picture of the late actor and wrote, ''RIP - to the greatest actor we know''.

The veteran actor was married to actor Saira Banu, had been in and out of the hospital the last one month and his family had hoped that he would get better.Dilip Kumar, born Yousuf Khan and often known as the Nehruvian hero, did his first film 'Jwar Bhata' in 1944 and his last 'Qila' in 1998, 54 years later. The five-decade career included 'Mughal-e-Azam', 'Devdas', 'Naya Daur', and 'Ram Aur Shyam', and later, as he graduated to character roles, 'Shakti' and 'Karma'.
Ajay Devgn, Salman Khan, Urvashi Rautela, Shahid Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, Sanjay Dutt, Anupam Kher, Riteish Deshmukh, Huma Qureshi among others have taken to their social media to pay tribute.
Amitabh Bachchan took to his social media handle to share a happy throwback picture with the late actor from a photoshoot. He wrote, ''My idol Dilip Saheb .. lost .. never before never after .. “an epic era has drawn curtains .. never to happen again “
