Reports of an OTT-only release for Alpha are rumours and false: Makers

Reports suggesting that Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, may bypass theatres for a direct-to-OTT release are inaccurate, according to sources close to the project.

People familiar with the matter, including those associated with the streaming platform and Yash Raj Films, said the speculation is unfounded. Multiple reports stated that the film was always intended for a theatrical-first release, but makers say that these are just rumours and untrue.

Alpha was initially slated for a December 25 release last year before being pushed to April 17, 2026.
