Remo D'Souza says people called him 'kaalu' and 'kaaliya'; shares how his mother comforted him

Choreographer turned director Remo D'Souza is quite active on social media. He is often seen sharing funny videos on Instagram with his wife Lizelle D'Souza. Recently, he shared yet another video with her and recalled how he was bullied in the past due to his dark skin tone.
In the video, Remo is seen grooving to Mohammed Rafi's song 'Hum Kale Hai To Kya Hua Dil Wale Hai' from the film 'Gumnaam'. He mentioned in his caption that he used to hate when people called him 'kaalia' or 'kalu'.He further added that whenever he felt bad, his mother would sing this song for him and it eventually became one of his favourites.
Sharing the video on Instagram, Remo wrote, "I used to hate when ppl called me #kaalia #kalu , but then my mom told me that it’s not the #colour it’s the #heart❤️ that matters 😊😊😊 and use to sing this #song , since then this became my fav song. Soon after he shared the video, his colleague and a good friend Terence Lewis commented, "Black is beautiful brother!!! 🔥🔥🔥" Lizelle wrote, "WhAt u are telling me …… I mean like really hmmmmmmmm." Even Remo's fans were seen dropping heart emojis in the comments section.
On the work front, Remo is all set to return to a dance reality show after 11 years. He will be co-judging the show with Sonali Bendre and Mouni Roy.
