He took to the social media, shared an old picture and tweeted: "Sharing an old picture with the late actor and Shah Rukh Khan which appears from the sets of the 1997 musical drama film 'Pardes', the director captioned, "ON 87th BIRTHDAY OF GREAT AMRISH PURI I pay my humble tribute to great man n actor who was a famijy to mukta arts always with his great performances in our VIDHATA- MERI JUNG- HERO-RAM LAKHAN -SAUDAGAR- PARDES-YADEIN- KISNA."
