A few months back (February), while Vicky Kaushal was shooting for Laxman Utekar’s period drama Chaava, he was suddenly spotted with an arm sling, pointing towards an injury. However, that didn’t stop the Bad Newz actor, and he continued with his workouts for the period drama, as he had to reach a body weight of nearly 100 kgs for the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. And within no time, the sling disappeared.
Recently, ETimes got its hands on some exclusive info on the injury. While nothing was revealed about it then, a source now tells us, “Vicky was shooting for an action sequence, and due to some mistiming, he sustained a fall, and because of the impact, a key nerve on his arm went numb for a couple of weeks."
The source added, "He had to first go through a regular X Ray to rule out a fracture, and later underwent physiotherapy sessions to get the nerve back in action,” added the source.
Vicky is currently enjoying all the attention he’s getting for his latest release Bad Newz, especially for his dance number ‘ Tauba Tauba’. The film is already inching towards the Rs 40 crore mark in the first week of its release.
While Chhava is slated to release on December 6, it will lock horns with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2- The Rule, and both films star Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. He is also slated to work in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next Love & War, which also stars real-life couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
