Junaid Khan, the son of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, has opened up about his relationship with his famous father in several interviews. From discussing Aamir's reactions to his films to sharing insights into their dynamic, Junaid has provided a unique perspective on growing up in the shadow of a legendary actor.

In an interview with MoneyControl, Junaid revealed that Aamir Khan liked his performance in the film Maharaj, but his mother Reena Dutta is a tougher audience to please.

"He liked the film, and he liked the performance as well. He didn't really say specifically. But when he watches something, he watches it as an audience and watches it to enjoy. Unless you ask him something very specifically, he will not necessarily have any comment on the film."

Junaid also shared that Aamir Khan made some suggestions after watching the film, and the filmmakers incorporated some of them.

Junaid mentioned that he doesn't usually discuss his projects with Aamir Khan or check with him before signing films. However, he praised his father's ability to provide helpful solutions when asked for specific advice.

"When you ask him something, he will tell you, and he will be very, very helpful. But you have to be very specific; you can't ask him for general things. If you have a specific issue you need help dealing with, then he is actually one of the best. He has been around for 40 years now. He will have solutions to most issues."

In an interview with India Today, Junaid expressed that his family, including Aamir Khan, is very supportive and encourages him even in their criticism.

"Even Papa will say, 'Look, I feel this, but you should do what you want.' The same is with mom." Junaid also mentioned that his family members don't shy away from expressing their opinions and that he feels blessed to come from a very supportive family.

Junaid often commutes by auto-rickshaws in Mumbai. In an interview with Connect Cine, he reacted to Aamir Khan's comment about his choice of travel, saying that his father makes a big deal out of small things.

"I think Papa makes a big deal out of small things. I just travel the most efficient way of traveling. I often take rickshaws in Mumbai because it is easier to get around and not worry about parking."

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Junaid expressed his determination to carve out his own identity and steer clear of comparisons to his famous father. He believes in everyone finding their own way and is savoring his journey.

"Everybody has to do their own thing. Life pans out differently for everybody. I'm on this journey, enjoying myself."

Junaid doesn't confine himself to specific genres and acknowledges that producers might not envision him in traditional romantic roles. He is embracing the unconventional route and is not a perfectionist like his father.

"I'm not sure if it's unconventional because YRF is a major banner and Sid sir wanted me for the role. The story itself is very dramatic."
