Rekha reveals the secrets behind her iconic 20-minute dance performance

Bollywood actress Rekha spoke about her iconic dance performance in Kapil Sharma’s show. The actress appeared as a special guest on The Great Indian Kapil Show. During the episode, Kapil asked about her 20-minute non-stop dance performance, to which Rekha revealed some interesting facts.

Kapil asked Rekha, "Despite wearing such a heavy costume and numerous jewelry peices, Rekha ma'am performed live for 20 minutes straight. Ma'am, did you plan for such a long dance performance, or did the people just not let you stop? Did they keep asking you to dance more?".

Rekha shared, "Let me tell you, that dress weighed a whopping 22 kgs. I was wearing a ghaghra-kurti set—a very heavy one at that. But I had to add my own touch, in true Rekha style. So, I tucked in the kurti to make sure no one noticed the reality during the dance movements. And about the jewelry? It wasn't actual jewelry; it was all intricate embroidery. When it comes to stamina, it's all about mental strength. My biggest motivation is the strong desire to make my fans and the audience who love me happy. That’s my greatest strength and source of stamina."


Meanwhile, Rekha thoroughly enjoyed herself during the episode of 'The Great Indian Kapil Show.' The audience was treated to a hilarious act by Krushna Abhishek and Sunil Grover, who dressed up as Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, leaving Rekha in fits of laughter. Kiku Sharda also participated by dressing as Umrao Jaan. To the delight of everyone, Rekha sang for the audience and took center stage to dance with Krushna, who appeared as Amitabh Bachchan.
