Rekha, Hema Malini and Vyjayanthimala: South actresses who ruled Bollywood even before pan-India was a thing

Rekha has been the charmer of Bollywood, from taking up roles that broke the stereotype to mesmerizing the audience with her beauty, she was one the best actors of her time. Born in Chennai, Rekha began with modest roles in the late '60s but emerged as a Bollywood fashion and performance icon in the '70s. Films like 'Do Anjaane' 'Ghar', and 'Muqaddar Ka Sikandar' proved her incredible acting range and magnetism.
