Regret not meeting Husain saab: Anushka
Anushka Sharma was the last Bollywood beauty that MF Hussain wished to paint a portrait of. The actress regrets not meeting him.
Of the many beautiful ladies who inspired the legendary painter MF Hussain; actress Anushka Sharma was amongst his last muse in Bollywood. “Hussain saab’s demise is quite distressing. May God give their family strength at this time”, says Anushka.
MF Hussain was might impressed with Anushka’s work in last year’s release Band Baaja Baaraat and had watched the film several times. “I was lucky enough to talk to him a few months back where he had appreciated my work in Band Baaja Baaraat”, remembers Anushka.
In fact MF Hussain had also expressed his desire to paint a portrait of Anushka Sharma like he did for his earlier muses like Madhuri Dixit and Amrita Rao. “He had showed interest in painting a portrait for me which was a great honour”.
Unfortunately Hussain saab’s wish remained unfulfilled and so did Anushka’s. “I had hoped to meet him sometime. I will always regret that I could not meet him”, signs off the actress.
