Raveena Tandon encourages people to use organic clay idols for Ganpati 2024

As Ganesh Chaturthi 2024 approaches, Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon has made a heartfelt appeal to the public to embrace eco-friendly practices during the festival. In a social media post, the 'Andaz Apna Apna' actress urged people to protect our planet by creating organic clay idols, a tradition followed by our Vedic ancestors.
The 'KGF 2' actress shared an invite on her X account, mentioning that the Ganesh idol would be made using natural clay and that classical instruments used in South Indian temples would be played for music. She emphasized the importance of respecting our rivers, trees, and the earth itself, stating, "Our sanatan dharm worships all, our rivers are matas, our dharti is mata, our trees are oxygen life givers; vayu, agni, apas, Prithvi, akasha."

The 'Mohra' actress also cautioned against using non-organic, man-made chemicals that pollute the environment, saying, "We need to respect them. And see that they aren't polluted by non-organic manmade chemicals." She concluded her message with the traditional chant, "So saare Bolo GANPATI BAPPA MORYAAA!" Raveena's appeal comes at a time when authorities and citizens are taking major steps to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi in an eco-friendly manner.
On the work front, Raveena was last seen in Ghudchadi alongside Sanjay Dutt, talking about this collaboration, in an conversation on ‘Aapka Apna Zakir she said, “I’ve had the pleasure of working on almost eleven films with Sanju (Sanjay Dutt), which is a high number for working with a single actor. Our bond goes beyond the screen; our families have known each other for years, which made working together such a joy. Recently, Sanjay and I worked together on ‘KGF 2’ and ‘Ghudchadi,’ which are doing exceptionally well. Our friendship and professional rapport have truly stood the test of time.”
