Started Her Career in South Indian Cinema at Just 16

While many know her from her Bollywood hits like Ek Duuje Ke Liye and Coolie, Rati Agnihotri actually began her acting journey in Tamil films at the age of 16. Her debut film Puthiya Vaarpugal (1979), directed by Bharathiraja, was a major success and marked the beginning of her pan-Indian stardom.

A Trained Bharatnatyam Dancer

Rati is not just a screen beauty but also a classically trained Bharatnatyam dancer. Her dance skills added grace to her performances and helped her shine in many song sequences during the golden era of musical cinema.
