, who made her Bollywood debut with Ayushmann Khurrana's '

Andhadhun

' survived a bout of

Covid-19

infection. In an exclusive conversation, the actress relayed how she braved the difficult time, and also shared some important tips to help others in their fight against the virus. Excerpts:

Ask her as to how did she manage to stay positive while battling the infection and Rashmi says, “Firstly, I stayed away from the news during that time so that I don't panic. I think if

social media

or news related to the pandemic stresses you, it is better to strictly stay away from it. I used to meditate too but most of the time I just slept, which itself helped in relieving stress".

The actress also advises taking the doctor’s advice seriously. "Listen to your doctor at all times. You'll have to take care of your health the most here, if you are in home isolation. Eat healthy fresh food. Stretch your body if possible and most importantly do everything that makes you happy," advises Rashmi.

For the actress, whose entire family was infected, friends proved to be a strong support system. "Right from checking on us daily to delivering essentials, they stood by us. Also calls from

BMC

doctors on a regular basis to check on us and assisting with home isolation kept me going well. Movies and music got me through,” she relays.
