Sunjay and Karisma's wedding made headlines from the very start. At the peak of her stardom, Karisma tied the knot with Delhi-based industrialist Sunjay Kapur on September 29, 2003, at the iconic Krishna Raj bungalow in Mumbai. Known for its grandeur, the wedding was reportedly a lavish affair, with the Kapoor family sparing no expense.

Karisma's wedding was one of the most talked-about events of 2003, and the actress looked nothing short of radiant. While several videos from the ceremony circulated at the time, one moment that truly stood out was her bridal entry. Holding her sister Kareena Kapoor’s hand, Karisma beamed with joy as she made her way into the venue—capturing hearts with her glowing smile and graceful presence.



As Karisma stepped onto the stage, Kareena cheered for her sister and Sunjay Kapur. Karisma and Sunjay exchanged garlands during the jaimala, looking happy and relaxed as they continued the rituals, laughing and chatting throughout.


Known as the OG queen of style and glamour, Karisma Kapoor made a statement with her wedding look. Ditching the traditional red, she chose a pink lehenga by Manish Malhotra, featuring intricate golden thread embroidery. She paired it with a fitted corset blouse and a matching dupatta adorned with floral thread work and bold bead detailing along the border.



Karisma completed her bridal look with a diamond necklace, maang teeka, bangles, and a traditional red chooda, paired with long golden kaleeras that hung gracefully from her wrists. Her makeup featured kohled eyes, pink gloss lipstick, heavy blush, pink eyeshadow, and a touch of glitter, perfectly complementing her glamorous ensemble.

In another video, the couple looked visibly happy as they posed with family members. In one touching moment, Sunjay wrapped his arms around Karisma for a family photo. The couple was also seen taking blessings from a visibly emotional Rishi Kapoor, adding a heartfelt touch to the celebrations.

The duo welcomed two children, Samaira and Kiaan, during their marriage. While their wedding appeared joyful, the couple surprised many by filing for divorce in 2014 with mutual consent. After a prolonged legal battle, the two eventually reached a settlement and were officially divorced in 2016.
