Ranveer Singh’s latest film ‘Dhurandhar’ has taken the box office by storm since its release on December 5. The spy thriller has been racing ahead with strong momentum and has already crossed the Rs 350 crore mark in India. As the film continues to enjoy massive success, Ranveer recently shared a cryptic Instagram post that left fans curious.
While it appeared to be a personal reflection at first, the message is actually a powerful line from the film itself, spoken by R. Madhavan’s character, giving it a deeper connection to ‘Dhurandhar’.
The timing of the post, coming amid the success of ‘Dhurandhar’, made fans curious about its deeper meaning.
The line focuses on patience, awareness and restraint, qualities that are essential in the dangerous world the characters operate in.
According to the film, the Intelligence Bureau of the Indian government launches a long-term covert mission to infiltrate terror groups, political networks and criminal gangs across the border, naming it ‘Project Dhurandhar’. The agency recruits Ranveer Singh’s character, Jaskirat Singh Rangi, from death row, where he is imprisoned for a revenge-driven crime in Punjab. Led by IB chief Ajay Sanyal, played by R. Madhavan, the bureau selects prisoners facing life terms or execution to avoid suspicion, before training Jaskirat and giving him the undercover identity of Hamza Ali Ansari.
The conversation between Sanyal and Hamza takes place just before Hamza is sent on a high-risk mission. He is asked to infiltrate Rehman Dakait’s gang in Karachi’s volatile Lyari area. Before sending him into danger, Sanyal speaks about destiny or kismat, stating that its most beautiful quality is its ability to change at the right time.
