’ has been hitting headlines ever since it was announced. From a promising star cast to Kapil Dev training Ranveer and Deepika Padukone joining the team – this Kabir Khan directorial has been upping the curiosity quotient since its inception. And a glimpse of their labour of love, the trailer of ‘83’ has got a launch date. According to a news portal, a grand event with the film’s cast will release the trailer of ‘83’ next week, on March 11. This event comes just a month before the sports drama hits the screens on April 10. The trailer of ’83’ will be reportedly attached to Irrfan Khan starrer ‘Angrezi Medium’ as it hits the screens on March 13.


While fans are in awe of Ranveer Singh’s transformation into Kapil Dev, Deepika Padukone’s look as his wife Romi Dev was also met with a massive applause from fans. Sharing her excitement for the film, Deepika had shared on Instagram, “To be able to play a small part in a film that captures one of the most iconic moments in sporting history has been an absolute honour. I’ve seen very closely the role a wife plays in the success of her husband’s professional and personal aspirations in my mother and ‘83 for me in many ways is an ode to every woman who puts her husband’s dream before her own.”


The film will capture the Indian cricket team’s historic win in 1983 world cup. Apart from Ranveer and Deepika, ‘83’ also features Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Harrdy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, Nishant Dahiya, Jiiva and Sahil Khattar.
