Actor Ranjeet, who has acted in over 200 films, shared an awkward fan moment in front of Rajesh Khanna. The fan was upset with him because he often portrayed characters who got beaten up by heroes with "dedh-foot," and this incident happened while Khanna was present.
During the filming of the movie 'Chhailla Babu' in Rajasthan, a fan approached Ranjeet with enthusiasm but declined to offer the actor his favorite sweet dish, providing a comical explanation. Ranjeet mentioned that Rajesh Khanna and the director were also present during this incident.
In an interview with Radio Nasha, Ranjeet shared an incident where a fan approached him with enthusiasm, offering rabdi and bajra roti. However, the fan humorously refused to give it to Ranjeet, stating, “I won’t give it to you. I will give it to dogs but not give it to you.” When asked why, the fan said, “Pehle aap mujhe yeh batao, aap dedh-foot ke aadmi se maar kaise khate ho.” Ranjeet felt embarrassed, especially with Rajesh Khanna and the director present.
The veteran actor also disclosed that he was one of the highest-paid actors of 'Khotey Sikkey' and shared that he received Rs 10,000 as payment. Reminiscing about his fondness for a sweet dish, Ranjeet mentioned that he spent all his salary on rabdi.
While filming, Ranjeet encountered a woman selling milk. He suggested to her, “Amma, stop selling this milk from tomorrow. Make rabdi out of the whole milk.” He covered the entire cost from his salary.
