Rani Mukerji recently opened up about her experience working with the three Khans of Bollywood—Shah Rukh Khan,
Salman Khan, and
Aamir Khan. The actress shared how all three of them have a different style of working on a project. Let's take a look at what she has to say.
Rani Mukerji talks about Aamir Khan
In an interview with Galatta Plus, Rani Mukerji recalled working with Aamir Khan in the film 'Ghulam' (1998). Talking about the same, she said, "When I met Aamir and saw him work in 'Ghulam', it was incredible."
The actress stated that she had watched him in 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak' as a young girl and "had a huge crush on him." She expressed, "He was so cute in the movie. I think I had a crush on Juhi equally."
Rani recalled that when she signed 'Ghulam', she was overwhelmed, as Aamir had already become a big star at that time. She added, "But what struck me most was the dedication he brought to every shot—the sensitivity, the seriousness, and how much of himself he gave to the performance."
The actress stated that she had just started in the industry, and she "imbibed all of that."
Rani Mukerji talks about Shah Rukh Khan
Rani Mukerji has worked with Shah Rukh Khan on movies like 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', 'Chalte Chalte', and more. The actress stated that she had seen Shah Rukh Khan in 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' as a "young girl." She expressed that the movie was released in the same year she was shooting her debut movie, 'Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat'. Rani said, "Working with these two megastars felt surreal."
Praising SRK, the actress said, "Shah Rukh comes with this gentle, sensitive energy. He treated me like a baby—I was barely 18 when I worked with him—and he still calls me 'baby' to this day."
Rani Mukerjit talks about Salman Khan
In the same conversation, Rani Mukerji shared that after meeting Salman Khan, she felt like it was a "360-degree turn." The actress said, "His dedication to his craft is very different. He walks in with this swag and a bindaas attitude. You might feel like he's not really 'there,' but he is present."
The actress went on to add that Bhaijaan of Bollywood keeps things light. She said, "He's very casual about his work, but he works incredibly hard. People don't recognize it because he doesn't let them into that zone."
On the work front, Rani Mukerji's latest release, 'Mardaani 3', has hit theaters on January 30, 2026. The movie has earned over Rs 52 crore worldwide, as of now.Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the
