Rani Mukerji opens up about the bond she shares with her daughter Adira; says, 'She was my favorite accessory'

Rani Mukerji is currently on a promotional spree for her upcoming film, 'Mardaani 3'. During her recent interaction, the actress opened up about her 10-year-old daughter, Adira, as well. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Rani Mukerji shared that her daughter, Adira, has become a "double digit now." The actress called this milestone "beautiful." She further shared that it is not a happy feeling for her as she would still go back to her baby photos "to the extent that she started feeling jealous of her own self."




Rani Mukerji added, "She’s like, ‘Mumma, why are you watching me like this? I am like this now (pointing at herself).’ I am like, ‘I understand you are like this now, but I want this; I want you in my lap.’ And now, she’s bigger than me; I can be on her lap."

The actress added that she misses the days of carrying her daughter everywhere. She stated that Adira was her "favorite accessory." Rani stated that things have changed now.

In the same interview, Rani Mukerji was asked if she shares a friendly bond with her daughter. The actress quickly replied, "Of course! She’s my best friend, really. And I’m constantly like seeding that thought into her, that I’m her best friend."

Rani Mukerji revealed that Adira wants her to attend the sports day event at her school. The actress expressed that her daughter wants her to wrap up promotions and take a flight to be at the event. The 'Mardaani' actress said, "It’s very fulfilling. I’m dying to be there on Sports Day and run along with the children. I’m the most enthu (enthusiastic) mother."
