Actor Randheer Rai, who was last seen as an antagonist in Sunny Leone starrer Anamika, has now joined the star cast of Vikram Bhatt's upcoming film titled '

1920: Horrors of The Heart

'. For Randheer it is the first time being a part of an intense horror film.
"It is my first horror film, and believe me I have always wanted to explore this genre. The most exciting part of the film is, definitely the script. It's the hero of the movie. I am sure it will blow everyone's mind away, and the credit goes to Mahesh Bhatt sir. When I received the script, I finished reading it in one go. I am eager to finish it off and watch the movie onscreen," he says.

Randheer would be portraying three different age-groups in the film. So did that pose a challenge for him? "While this range of showing 30s to 50s is challenging, I wouldn't describe it as tough. This would be my first time playing a character that old. The character in his 50s is a little slow, so I had to improvise upon that. Since I am a very active person, I had to convince myself that I am a 50-plus man, and I need to slow down. Director Krishna Bhatt gave me a lot of space for experimentation while playing out the character," he replies.
For playing such a range of ages, did Randheer make some special preparations? Well yes he did. Right from losing weight to sitting patiently for two and a half hours to put on prosthetics, he did it all. "I had to work on my body weight, lost a few kgs and absolutely avoided weight training, even working out for a few days. I also had to work on body language, and the rest is all about conviction. It takes two and a half hours for me to get ready, because of the prosthetics which is a lengthy process. But I am enjoying every bit of it, because this is the reason I choose acting. And I love the fact that only an actor can live so many lives in one," he concludes.
