Randeep Hooda woos Richa Chadda in 'Sarbjit'

Director Omung Kumar's forthcoming film '

Sarbjit

' isn't merely an account of the farmer's life and how he was convicted by the Pakistani courts for being an Indian spy. The filmmaker has also brought him alive on screen by adding several nuances to his character.

Randeep Hooda, who essays the titular role, tells us, 'Sarbjit was a

romantic

at heart. He would often quote lyrics from popular Rajesh Khanna songs when he wrote letters to his wife from Kot Lakhpat jail in Lahore.'

Richa Chadda

, who plays his wife on screen, adds, 'Despite facing so much trauma, he was poetic and amorous.' This aspect of his personality has been captured in the romantic song 'Salamat'. The track, which is composed by Amaal Mallik and sung by Arijit Singh and Tulsi Kumar, releases today.
