Randeep Hooda enjoys doing serious roles
Randeep Hooda is busy shooting back to back for films Heroine, Jannat 2, Jism 2, Cocktailand Vishram Sawant's tentatively titled flick Shooter.
Talking about Shooter, he says, "The script of Shooteris one of very interesting ones I have come across till date. Also it's special because my close friend Vishram is the director of the film with whom I had earlier worked in films like Dand Risk.
So it's like going home." Referring to his bond with Vishram, he adds, "We both have improved as director and actor respectively. We are more mature and not-so-volatile as we used to be! So it's definitely going to be an entirely different film. Moreover, Shooteris a film about a polite guy who's dealing with all the problems coming from the society of uneducated and under privileged, and how his life changes." We have seen Randeep doing more of serious roles. Ask him about this and he reveals, "I have done few comedy films like Love Khichdiand Mere Khwabon Me Jo Aaye. But yes, I like portraying serious roles because there's more substance in them and more things to express. Like my role in Sahib Biwi Aur Gangsterwas not a serious role, but it turned out to be serious in the end. Also, it was different to play ACP's role in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. I don't consider them serious character but the situational ones."
