Randeep Hooda, who made headlines with his jaw-dropping physical transformation for his role as Savarkar in the biopic Swatantra Veer Savarkar, recently raised questions about the popularity and narrative of the Oscar-winning film Oppenheimer, highlighting America's tendency to create what he termed as 'propaganda' movies that portray Americans as heroes.

In an interview with Ranveer Allahbadia, Randeep drew attention to the historical context of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings, events that resulted in the devastation of two Japanese cities and the loss of thousands of lives. These bombings were facilitated by the development of the world's first atomic bombs under the supervision of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the central figure of Christopher Nolan's acclaimed film.

Randeep expressed his views, stating, "America made Oppenheimer. That man built the atomic bomb. It was such a painful incident… in Japan, on civilians in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, they detonated the bomb at night. America is the good guy. What did they do in Vietnam? Their movies are propaganda, their movies tell the entire world that ‘we are the best army, we are the good guys. Japanese, Germans are bad.’ And history also has the same thing, because they have written history."

The actor further criticized the narrative portrayed in American films, highlighting the depiction of heroes like Oppenheimer and Truman while alleging a one-sided portrayal that often overlooks historical complexities.

Randeep said, "They even say that aliens always come to America. Aliens can only spot America. They made pictures on their heroes like Oppenheimer, Truman and the world watches them. We are always trying to demean our heroes because of political agenda."
