Ranbir Kapoor's 'Love and War' delay leaves 'Ramayana' team 'DISAPPOINTED': Report
Ranbir Kapoor has two big-budget films slated up for their release in 20026. While one was set to take over screens in the first quarter of the year, the other was slated to close the year on a high.
This development has allegedly left members of team Ramayana 'disappointed' as they were reportedly "hoping for a gap of at least 6 months between 'Love and War' and 'Ramayana'."
The delay has also reportedly impacted the scheduling plans for 'Ramayana', which is slated for a Diwali release. "This has left some of the members of the Ramayana team disappointed," the report states.
Meanwhile, the first look of 'Love and War' is expected to be unveiled in January 2026, though an official confirmation about the same is still awaited. The film will see Ranbir Kapoor reuniting with Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal once again after their collaborations on past projects like 'Brahmastra' and 'Sanju', respectively.
Should Bhansali's film arrive in September, it will give the film a 6-8 week run before Kapoor returns to the big screen with another epic - 'Ramayana'.
The film also features Sunny Deol and Ravie Dubey as Hanuman and Laxman, respectively, while Kajal Aggarwal and Rakul Preet Singh will be seen in the roles of Mandodri and Surpanakha. Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha and Indira Krishnan also form the ensemble cast. While the first instalment of 'Ramayana' will drop on Diwali 2026, the second part will arrive on Diwali 2027.
