Ranbir Kapoor touches Salim Khan's feet at Deb Mukherjee's last rites

Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji experienced a challenging day following the loss of his father, veteran actor Deb Mukherjee. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor promptly returned to Mumbai to be by his side during this difficult time. In the viral video, Ranbir was seen paying respects to Salim Khan, touching his feet, as they paid their last respects.

A few Bollywood celebrities, including Ranbir and Salman Khan's father and veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, gathered at Ayan Mukerji's home to pay their respects to the late Deb Mukherjee. A clip shows Ranbir touching Salim Khan's feet as he exited his car. Khan was accompanied by his staff as he entered the Mukerji residence to offer heartfelt condolences to the family.

Deb Mukherjee passed away at the age of 83. He had been unwell and was hospitalized, where he breathed his last at 9:30 am today, March 14 (Friday). Ranbir took on the role of a pallbearer, carrying Deb Mukherjee's body during the funeral procession, offering a heartfelt tribute to the late actor. Several Bollywood celebrities visited Mukerji's residence to offer their condolences following the passing of his father, Deb Mukherjee. Notable visitors included Anil Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Kajol, Jaya Bachchan, and other close friends from the industry, who gathered to pay their respects.

Deb Mukherjee's acting career spanned several decades, with notable roles in films like 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar', 'Baaton Baaton Mein' and 'Kaminey'. He was the father-in-law of well-known filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker.
