Ranbir Kapoor is currently attending the promotional events of his late father
Rishi Kapoor's last film
'Sharmaji Namkeen'
. During an interview, the actor talked about his connection with Rishi, how he was as a person and more.
Talking about his bond with his father, Ranbir Kapoor took a long pause and stated that it is similar to how anyone would connect to their dad and it doesn't come from the fact that they are in the same profession. Ranbir went on to say that he was not close to Rishi Ji as he used to be a 'little scared' of him and never looked directly into his eyes.
The 'Rockstar' actor added that he always looked down and said 'yes' to everything when he was a kid. Ranbir also said that for a long time he didn't know what his father's eye colour is!
However, when he became an actor that broke the ice between them. Ranbir stated that Rishi became his manager and the late legend sold his son like he was "Tom Cruise". And after that, the father-son duo teamed up and started bonding.
The 'Sanju' actor stated that his conversations with his father were not about movies or success and failure but about life, values, right and wrong. Ranbir concluded by saying that he has more memories of Rishi Kapoor as his father and who he was as a person than as an actor.
