Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone's 'Tamasha' strikes a chord with young India

Cinema has truly come of age. Spearheading this movement are filmmakers like Sajid Nadiadwala (2 States, Heropanti, Kick) and Imtiaz Ali (Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal and Rockstar), whose latest release Tamasha, with Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone got a thumbs up from the critics and junta alike.
The first weekend collections reaffirmed the faith of the makers in their product.Earlier these two combined forces on Highway, which also captured the imagination of young India. Tamasha is their encore with GenNext.

The film has successfully created yet another landmark that positions Sajid as a maker who knows the pulse of the audience as far as classic and commercial content goes. A highly placed official from a multiplex chain across India said, “A film like Tamasha was clearly indicative by its stylised promotions and heart-throb lead stars, that it was a youth product. And the turnout was on target, as our cinemas have shown larger percentages of younger audiences, thronging back to the theatres, for a second-time watch in the first week itself.”
