This week, Bollywood saw a massive change in the way films will be showcased to fans. The makers of ‘Gubalo Sitabo’ announced that they are taking the digital route and Vidya Balan’s ‘Shakuntala Devi’ also followed suit. Also, this week Salman Khan slammed a fake casting call while Rana Daggubati announced his engagement to Miheeka Bajaj - here’s taking a look at all the newsmakers of the week.

Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushamnn Khurrana starrer ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ will be showcased directly on a digital platform, skipping the option of a theatrical release. Directed by Shoojit Sircar, ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ is the first big-ticket film to go for an online release. Following suit, the makers of Vidya Balan starrer ‘Shakuntala Devi’ also decided to entertain fans on a streaming service. Both the films missed their scheduled theatrical release date of April 17 and May 8 respectively, due to the lockdown.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were snapped arriving for Rishi Kapoor’s 13^th day prayer meet held this week. The couple had a concerned conversation with the paparazzi, asking them to stay safe and wear masks. Held at the Kapoor's Bandra residence, Randhir Kapoor, Babita, Karisma, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Armaan Jain attended the close-knit prayer meet. "Love you always, papa," Rishi Kapoor's daughter Riddhima had captioned a picture from the late actor's prayer meet.

Salman Khan had to address rumours of a fake casting call citing his production house SKF that was doing the rounds on the internet. He had shared,"This is to clarify that neither I nor Salman Khan Films are casting for any film currently. We have not hired any casting agents for any of our future films. Please do not trust any emails or messages received by you for this purpose. Legal action will be taken if any party is found falsely using SKF or my name in any unauthorised manner." While in lockdown, Salman also treated fans to his new song ‘Tere Bina’, shot entirely at his Panvel farmhouse, featuring Jacqueline Fernandez.

Rana Daggubati broke a million hearts when he surprised fans with the announcement of his engagement with long time girlfriend Miheeka Bajaj. His post was flooded with a whole lot of congratulatory comments from fans and friends. Rana and Miheeka, who is an interior designer and event manager, have been in a relationship since a while. “Their family and friends have been aware of their relationship and knew they were going to get married. Obviously, with the lockdown in place wedding planning will take place only once things return to normalcy,” a source had informed Mumbai Mirror.

Sonu Sood has been doing lot amidst this pandemic, while he opened his Juhu hotel for accommodation for frontline workers, he also donated over 1500 PPE kits to doctors across Punjab. And recently he extended support to migrant workers eager to return to their hometown. He arranged for 10 buses to ferry hundreds of migrants stuck in the city, after acquiring the necessary permissions from the Karnataka and Maharashtra state governments.
