Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Akash Ambani visit Ayan Mukerji after demise of his father Deb Mukherjee - WATCH video

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt share a deep bond with Ayan Mukerji, making it only natural for them to rush back to Mumbai after hearing about the passing of his father, veteran actor Deb Mukherjee, on March 14, 2025. Cutting short their vacation, the couple stood by their friend’s side. Recently, they, along with Akash Ambani, visited Ayan at his residence to offer their condolences.

Carpooling to Ayan’s Residence
On March 26, 2025, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were seen carpooling with Akash Ambani as they headed to filmmaker Ayan Mukerji’s residence. The Brahmāstra duo sat in the back seat while Akash took the front in his luxurious car. The trio left from Ranbir and Alia’s home, Vastu, before arriving at Ayan’s house.

Bollywood Celebrities Pay Their Respects
Following the sudden passing of veteran actor Deb Mukherjee, several Bollywood celebrities visited Ayan Mukerji’s Mumbai residence to pay their last respects. Among those who offered their condolences were Karan Johar, Vicky Kaushal, Aditya Roy Kapur, Jackie Shroff, Jeetendra, Anu Malik, veteran actor Kiran Kumar, and Bappi Lahiri's daughter, among others.



Deb Mukherjee’s niece, actress Kajol, along with her mother Tanuja, Jaya Bachchan, and Shweta Bachchan, also visited Ayan Mukerji’s residence to pay their respects. The 83-year-old veteran actor passed away after battling age-related ailments.

Alia and Ranbir’s Upcoming Film
On the work front, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will reunite on screen for Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. According to report in Pinkvilla, the film will center around a gripping rivalry, with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal portraying two strong-headed male leads pitted against each other.



A report further revealed that Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, both known for their exceptional performances, will engage in an intense battle for Alia Bhatt’s character. Sanjay Leela Bhansali has already filmed some confrontation scenes between the two and is highly impressed with their commanding screen presence. Love & War is set for a March 2026 release.
