The teaser of 'Ramayana' is releasing today after special screenings in Los Angeles and New York. Overall the expectations are high for the film which is directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Now, Ravie Dubey who plays Lakshman in the film, has unveiled in interesting thing.
Ravie Dubey kept his casting as Lakshman in the upcoming film 'Ramayana' a secret from his wife Sargun Mehta for a long time. The couple prefers not to discuss work at home. Sargun only found out about the role through others and chose not to ask him directly. This was discussed during Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast which was held last year.
How Sargun Mehta found out
Sargun Mehta said in the podcast that they rarely talk about work at home. “We don’t really talk about work at home. Just like he doesn’t know what I’m doing until my projects are announced, I also don’t find out about his work until it becomes public.” When someone congratulated her about Ravie’s role, she stopped them and said she was not supposed to know.
Even during the shoot, Ravie remained secretive. Whenever Sargun asked where he was going, he would simply reply, “Kaam pe ja raha hoon,” (I am going foe work) without mentioning it was a film shoot. Sargun later admitted her curiosity got the better of her. She once asked the driver about the set atmosphere, but the driver thought she was asking about
Ranbir Kapoor.
Ravie laughed when Sargun shared the story. He added, “Woh bhi mere bare mein nahi, Ranbir (Kapoor) ke bare mein.” (“That too not about me, but about Ranbir (Kapoor)".
Ranbir Kapoor on playing Lord Ram
Ranbir Kapoor was recently spotted in Bandra with director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra. During the LA event, Ranbir spoke about playing Lord Ram. He said, “Lord Ram has been the conscience keeper of billions of people around the globe for centuries. He enlightens us about the triumph of the human spirit. He stands for compassion, courage, righteousness, and forgiveness, and is called Maryada Purushottam, which represents the ideal man.”
