Ram Kapoor reveals wife Gautami Kapoor supported him during his struggling days: 'I was living off of her income'

Ram Kapoor, a highly paid actor in Indian television and cinema, faced many struggles early in his career, with long periods of no income or projects. During these tough times, his wife, actress Gautami Kapoor, stood by him, offering support and motivation to stay focused.

He shared that during their first year of marriage, he had no work and relied on Gautami’s income to support them. He spoke about the ups and downs in his career, especially in the first decade, when he faced periods of little to no work and financial challenges.



Kapoor further talked about his tough journey in the industry, explaining how he struggled for the first decade or so before landing his big break. He mentioned how acting careers are unpredictable, with long gaps between projects. Despite these challenges, his role in Kasamh Se marked a turning point, leading to his rise in fame.



Ram and Gautami first met on the sets of Ghar Ek Mandir, where their on-screen chemistry blossomed into a real-life romance. Despite their different personalities—Ram being outgoing and Gautami more reserved—the couple fell in love. Ram proposed at a party, and they married on Valentine's Day in 2003. They now have two children, Sia and Aks.
