Alia Bhatt has come a long way since her debut in 'Student of the Year', and her former co-star Ram Kapoor is lauding her remarkable journey.
The actor, in his recent interview, recalled how the industry underestimated Alia during her debut alongside Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra. Speaking to Siddharth Kanna, Kapoor said, "Everyone was so young back then. Alia was the youngest, and people doubted her chances of success."
"They thought Varun and Sidharth had a better shot, but look at her today—she has surpassed all expectations," he said.

Recalling the actress' early days in the industry, he said, "She still had baby cheeks and looked so innocent. Nobody back then would have imagined that she’d achieve what she has today. Hats off to her!"
Praising Alia's dedication to her craft and calling her more professional than many in the industry. Kapoor said. “I know ad filmmakers who’ve worked with her, and they say she treats everyone with respect. On sets, she calls every director ‘Sir,’ even if they’re younger than her.”
Kapoor added that if Alia continued on this path, "she will be Deepika [Padukone]." He went on to add that professionalism is the key factor for success in today’s film industry.

On the work front, Alia is gearing up for 'Alpha', directed by Shiv Rawail. The film, part of YRF’s spy universe, will see Alia play the lead in the first female-led instalment that also stars Sharvari and Anil Kapoor.
Bhatt also plays the female lead in 'Love and War', directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles.
