At the Agenda Aaj Tak 2025 event, Rakul Preet Singh addressed romancing Ajay Devgn in 'De De Pyaar De 2'. She said, "The film received a very good response. It received a lot of love from the audience." She expressed that there are very few actresses who get to do such roles, and hence, "I hope that I will continue to get similar roles in the future."

Addressing the age gap between her and Ajay Devgn, she said, "I have seen many real-life couples with a significant age gap. Making a film with such content is difficult."

The actress further expressed, "We haven't shown in the film that people easily accept such relationships. We have shown the impact and the drawbacks of such relationships."

When the actress was asked if it was difficult to romance Ajay Devgn in the movie, she said, "Acting is a weird process. Between action and cut, you are a different character. I don't even know how that switch happens. We laugh before crying in a scene. There's a lot of hustle and bustle on the set. But as soon as the camera turns on, a switch flips inside you. Ajay sir will always be 'sir' to me; I grew up watching him. He is a superstar. The respect for him will always remain."

Rakul Preet concluded her comment, saying, "We don't start firing guns on the street after watching an action movie. Some films are made for impact, some for entertainment."
