Rakul Preet Singh: I hope I get more time to do films down south

Rakul Preet Singh has multiple south films to her credit. The Doctor G actress has been a part of hit films like Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, Sarrainodu, Nannaku Prematho, Loukyam and Thadaiyara Thaakka. After making a Bollywood debut with 2014 release Yaariyan, the actress took a plunge into Hindi films and was seen in movies like Aiyaari, De De Pyaar De, Marjaavaan among others.

Her entry in Bollywood, led Rakul take up multiple Hindi movies, in fact this year she was seen in as good as five Hindi films. Though the actress wasn’t a part of any south releases this year, she has shot for a few and is looking forward to their release. Though it appears to be a shift, Rakul does feel that she needs to take up more south projects.

She says, “So, I have not been able to sign up too many projects in south ever since I moved to Mumbai. See I got tied up with so many Hindi movies, I can’t take up more on my platter, right? I have a few South films that I am looking forward to. I have Indian 2 with Shankar sir, which is in Tamil. Then there is one more film which is directed by AL Vijay. It is also completed.”



The actress signs off saying, “As and when something great comes up I will take it up. The thing is that I haven’t had the time, but to be honest, I do miss my fan base in Telugu and Tamil and I hope that I find time to do something there soon.”
