Rajkummar Rao’s ‘RoohiAfza’ release delayed to avoid clash with Ayushmann Khurrana?

Gulabo Sitabo

’ will hit the screens on April 17, locking horns with Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor starrer ‘RoohiAfza’. According to a report in

Mumbai Mirror

, the makers of ‘RoohiAfza’ are now planning to postpone the film’s release in order to avoid a box office clash with Ayushmann.


‘RoohiAfza’ is a horror comedy while ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ is a quirky drama, for now both the films are scheduled to hit the screens on April 17. However Dinesh Vijan, who is producing ‘RoohiAfza’, is considering a fresh release date for his film and an official announcement is expected soon.

‘Gulabo Sitabo’ features acting stalwart Amitabh Bachchan as a parallel lead alongside Ayushmann and the film is directed by Shoojit Sircar. Excited to share screen space with Big B, Ayushmann had told PTI, "It's really a surreal moment for me. It's a moment that I have always wished for ever since the time I wanted to become an actor but now that I'm going to finally act with him, I think it's going to be extremely overwhelming for me."
