A report by Koimoi suggests that Amazon Prime Video has secured the rights of the Rajinikanth's upcoming film 'Coolie' for a substantial ₹120 crore, positioning it as one of the biggest deals for digital streaming rights. This move follows Prime Video's earlier acquisition of Rajinikanth's blockbuster 'Jailer' for ₹100 crore, as noted in the same report, with official confirmation still awaited.

'Coolie', directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is poised to be a high-energy action film with Rajinikanth at the helm. Although the plot remains secretive, there's speculation that Rajinikanth will portray a character with intriguing negative undertones. The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Nagarjuna Akkineni and Upendra Rao in pivotal roles, alongside Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, and Sathyaraj. Adding to the anticipation, Pooja Hegde will make a special appearance with a captivating dance number.

In addition to 'Coolie', Rajinikanth is preparing for 'Jailer 2', directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The sequel will continue the narrative of the original 'Jailer', with Rajinikanth reprising his role as the formidable and beloved "Tiger" Muthuvel Pandian.
