Cellular Operators Association of India has lodged a complaint against the film for showing the use of phones in a bad light. Looks like we have another controversy in the waiting.
Rajinikanth -
Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 has now sparked a debate.
We've learnt that the COAI (Cellular Operators Association of India) has asked for the censor certificate of the film to be re-examined. The cellular companies have lodged a complaint against the film for showing the use of phones in a bad light. The complaint has been marked to the CBFC and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
The complaint seeks re-examination of the film, its teaser and trailer stating that it falsely depicts mobile phones and mobile towers as harmful to living creatures and the environment. It states that the said depiction of mobile services and towers is false based on no evidence and is wholly fictional.
There has been no statement on this from the makers of 2.0 yet.
